B-WET provides funds to environmentally based education organizations to provide students, teachers and communities throughout the Monterey Bay watershed with meaningful outdoor experiences.  The B-WET Program at Monterey Bay was established in 2003 to improve the understanding of environmental stewardship of students and teachers by means of education.  Through competitively-based grants, the B-WET Program has the opportunity to bring the environment into every classroom and every child out into the Monterey Bay.

NOAA is dedicated to enhancing economic security and national safety through the prediction and research of weather and climate-related events and providing environmental stewardship of our nation’s coastal and marine resources.
