The San Lorenzo watershed comprises drainages from the Santa Cruz mountains to the cities of Santa Cruz and Capitola. The lower watershed is densely populated. Watershed issues include siltation, water diversions, migration barriers for salmonids, loss of streamside habitat, and high water temperature.
