Directions to: MBARI

From the North:

  • Moss Landing is about 20 miles south of Santa Cruz on Highway 1. You will recognize the town by the Duke Energy power plant.
  • When you reach Moss Landing, turn Right onto Moss Landing Road (by The Whole Enchilada restaurant).
  • Take the first Right onto Sandholdt Road, just past the Harbor District sign. Cross the one-lane bridge and turn right.
  • MBARI is the large building on your left (7700 Sandholdt Rd.)

From the South:

  • Moss Landing is about 1⁄2 hour north of Monterey on Hwy 1.
  • Take Highway 1 North for approximately 22 miles to Moss Landing (recognizable by the Duke Energy power plant).
  • When you reach Moss Landing turn Left onto Moss Landing Road (by The Whole Enchilada restaurant).
  • Take the first Right onto Sandholdt Road, just past the Harbor District sign. Cross the one-lane bridge and turn right.
