Action Items from Previous Meeting:

  • Andrew provided RAP comments on the Benthic Trawling Action Plan to principal investigators for the trawling impact/recovery project
  • The RAP defined "consensus decision making" for the panel, and this will be added to the RAP policies and protocols (the RAP web site is currently being updated)
  • Staff will report back to the RAP when decisions are made on the Bureau of Reclamation project to release agriculture drainage into marine waters
  • Andrew reported to MBNMS staff on RAP comments relative to research permits, and arranged for a presentation on the topic by Dr. Holly Price at the next RAP meeting
  • Andrew will include an addendum on the RAP Policies and Protocols regarding eliminating the term "conservation" in the RAP purpose, and to generalize the list of disciplines to be included in RAP membership.
