Fall 2021 Recruitment
Agriculture (1)
(Alternate)
- Familiarity with the agricultural industry in communities near the Sanctuary;
- Understanding the links between agriculture, Sanctuary resources and human activities;
- Ability to effectively communicate with representatives from the agricultural industry in the Sanctuary region; and
- Experience, ability, and availability to conduct outreach within the agricultural community consistent with the goals of the Sanctuary and the mission of the Sanctuary Advisory Council
Conservation (1)
(Alternate)
- Familiarity with marine conservation issues and management approaches affecting the Sanctuary region;
- Experience working with or representing conservation or environmental organizations especially those involved with marine conservation;
- Ability to communicate effectively with the broader conservation community in the Sanctuary region; and
- Commitment and availability of time to co-chair and assure the continued operation of the Sanctuary Advisory Council’s Conservation Working Group (CWG), which meets monthly.
College (1)
(Alternate)
- Currently attending a local institution of higher education (e.g., college, university);
- Live in an area affected by the sanctuary;
- Proven ability to effectively communicate with student peers;
- Possess an interest in sanctuary resource protection and management;
- Experience or knowledge regarding public uses and activities in the sanctuary;
- Demonstrate relevant volunteer or internship experience;
- Commitment to two-year term on the Sanctuary Advisory Council
