Location, Location, Location!
After a two-year and 23-site evaluation process, a three-quarter acre site was chosen for its spectacular ocean-side location in Santa Cruz's famed beach area at the historic Fun Spot. Located at the corner of Pacific and Beach Streets, the center is in the midst of many popular visitor and recreational attractions. The Municipal Wharf, world-famous Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, Steamer Lane, Depot Park and Lighthouse Point are all within an easy walk of the site. A trolley runs from downtown to the wharf during the summer and pedestrian and bike trails link to the site as well. Roaring Camp Railroad also offers roundtrip train rides between the Santa Cruz beach area and mountains through the scenic San Lorenzo Valley watershed.
