  Bean Hollow State Beach

Bean Hollow State Beach consists of two sandy coves separated by a rocky outcrop. Surf fishing, kite flying, and the tide pools are popular at this beach. It's an especially good stopping place along the coast Hwy. 1 during the winter storm wave surges. The parking lot elevated just above the beach gives a good vantage point for watching large waves crashing into the surrounding rocks.

Just east of Hwy. 1 is Lake Lucern, an important freshwater lake for overwintering ducks.

Facilities include picnic tables and restrooms. For more information, call (415) 726-6238.
