Facebook is a social networking website where users can connect and interact with other people. We encourage fans to write on the MBNMS Wall; however, any content posted to the Wall that meets the following criteria will be deleted:
- Contains vulgar language, personal attacks of any kind, or offensive terms that target specific ethnic or racial groups
- Promotes products or services (non-commercial links that are relevant to the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary are acceptable)
- Is far off topic (i.e., not within the scope of Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary)
- Makes unsupported accusations.

Use of Facebook requires a free membership; the Department of Commerce does not endorse membership on Facebook, nor does the Department of Commerce have any control or responsibility for privacy on Facebook.
