2024 Ed Ricketts Memorial Award and Lecture

The 2024 Ed Ricketts Memorial Award will be presented on September 25, 2024 to

The Ed Ricketts Memorial Award was created to honor scientists who have exhibited exemplary work throughout their career and advanced the status of knowledge in the field of marine science. The first award was presented in March 1986. Recipients are selected by the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary Research Activity Panel.

Dr. Daniel P. Costa will provide a lecture on how technology has provided insights into the behavior and physiology of marine mammals in nature.
