Four seamounts are located just outside the sanctuaries boundaries. One of these, the Davidson Seamount is now being considered for inclusion within the sanctuary. An expedition to explore the seamount captured stunning images of seamount life like this bubblegum coral 2.5 meters (8.5 feet) tall.
