Note no gillnetting is allowed within State waters (i.e. within 3 miles of shore, except in Monterey Bay: State waters in Monterey Bay include all waters inside imaginary line drawn between Point Pinos and Point Santa Cruz, AND 3 miles offshore of this line). Drift gillnet fishery (not shown) generally occurs in waters greater than 200 fathoms.
