Spring 2025 Recruitment

College (2)
(Primary and Alternate)

• Currently attending a local institution of higher education (e.g., college, university);
• Live in an area affected by the sanctuary;
• Proven ability to effectively communicate with student peers;
• Possess an interest in sanctuary resource protection and management;
• Experience or knowledge regarding public uses and activities in the sanctuary;
• Demonstrate relevant volunteer or internship experience;
• Commitment to two-year term on the Sanctuary Advisory Council

Commercial Fishing (1)
(Alternate)

• Active commercial fisherman familiar with fishing issues within the Sanctuary region;
• Ability to effectively communicate with the broader commercial fishing community in the Sanctuary region;
• An understanding of the links between the commercial fishing community and the Sanctuary; and
• Experience, ability, and availability to conduct outreach within the commercial fishing community consistent with the goals of the Sanctuary and the mission of the Sanctuary Advisory Council.
